Kuala Lumpur, March 2025 — Forest Interactive Foundation successfully wrapped up its Eco Heroes Holiday Hub, a three-day school holiday program that empowered children aged 7 to 12 to become young champions of sustainability through fun, hands-on activities.

Held at Serambi Ilmu Rakyat, Level 7, Bank Rakyat, the program welcomed about 150 enthusiastic students who spent their school break exploring arts & crafts, environmental education, and English language skills that were all inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

These students spent their school holidays learning how small actions can make a big difference for the planet. Through a thoughtfully curated line up of interactive activities, the Eco Heroes Holiday Hub gave children a meaningful break while nurturing future stewards of sustainability.

Three Days of Fun, Learning, and Impact ofSchool Holidays with Purpose

Over the three-day program, young participants kicked off their journey with Craft & Comics on Day 1. They designed felt keychains, read eco-themed comics, and brought their own stories to life by creating comic characters based on what they learned. Fun grammar games like Verb Charades kept the energy high while building language and teamwork skills.

Day 2, themed Green Heroes, focused on practical sustainability andcreative upcycling. Children turned discarded plastic bottles into pencil holders in the Upcycling Workshop .An interactive Eco-Scavenger Hunt rounded off the day, encouraging kids to apply their new eco-knowledge through teamwork and problem-solving.

On the final day, the English Camp helped students boost their communication skills in fun ways. They ‘travelled the world’ by tackling English language tasks in Around the World ,created a My Dream Poster to imagine future adventures, and expanded their vocabulary with the Mystery Bag Challenge. The program concluded with a Creative Writing: Superhero Adventure session, where kids invented their own superheroes, sharpening critical thinking and storytelling skills.

This three-day holiday hub was made possible through the invaluable support of partners who share the vision of raising eco-conscious young citizens. Yayasan Bank Rakyat generously provided the venue, created a safe, and welcoming space for children to explore, learn, and grow.

The success of the Eco Heroes Holiday Hub reflects Forest Interactive Foundation’s ongoing mission to empower communities, nurture future innovators, and champion sustainable practices. The Foundation plans to expand its reach with more holiday camps and sustainability workshops to spark eco-consciousness in young Malaysians nationwide.
